Always active and athletic, I found it very natural to pursue a career in personal fitness instruction and training.
After certification from National Academy of Sports Medicine and many years of practice as a personal trainer, I discovered Pilates - I was immediately hooked! I then studied with Rael Isacowitz, founder of Body Arts & Science International in Costa Mesa at the On Center Studio and was granted a BASI certification in 2003.
I strongly believe in constant growth and development - I study a variety of wellness topics and frequently attend workshops. A highlight for me was
a Pilates Method Alliance Convention where I attended workshops from the Pilates Elders, Ron Fletcher, Lolita San Miguel and Kathy Grant. It inspired me and helped me take my practice to a much deeper, more committed level.
For the past several years I have been studying classical Pilates. I love the classical methods of Pilates. I think it's critical for any teacher to have a deep understanding of these exercises as Joseph Pilates originally designed them.
Another area of passion for me is nutrition. Diet is so important to your health and vitality. I coach a number of my clients on holistic, integrated approaches to health and have a network of very talented wellness professionals that are wonderful resources.
What I enjoy most of all is connecting and working with my clients. Some of my happiest times are when I see my clients bodies transform and watch them discover a new level of health and happiness through movement and mind-body connection.
